The Everest Three High Passes Trek is the most complete Khumbu circuit, linking classic EBC trails with remote high saddles to form a panoramic loop. Moving counter-clockwise from Lukla through Namche and the Imja Valley, you’ll cross Kongma La (5,535 m) into the Khumbu Glacier basin, visit Everest Base Camp (5,364 m), climb Kala Patthar (~5,545 m) for near-field Everest views, traverse Cho La (5,420 m) into Gokyo and its turquoise lakes, summit Gokyo Ri (~5,357 m), then complete the loop over Renjo La (≈5,340–5,360 m) into the Bhote Koshi valley.
Expect 5–7 hours of trekking most days, two or more acclimatization days, and variable trail conditions (Cho La typically includes a short glacier crossing/microspikes helpful). Best seasons are spring (Mar–May) and autumn (Sep–Nov). In peak months, Lukla flights often operate via Ramechhap/Manthali with a 4–5 hr road transfer from Kathmandu; buffers are built in for weather and flight ops.
