The Gosaikunda Lake Trek blends Himalayan trekking with deep spiritual atmosphere. Rising to around 4,380 m, the cluster of alpine lakes is revered by Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims, especially during the August full moon (Janai Purnima) festival. Our 8-day format uses a classic out-and-back route from Dhunche via Sing Gompa (Chandanbari) and Lauribina, building altitude steadily before a contemplative afternoon at the lakes.
Expect sweeping views of Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, and distant ranges on clear days, with forests of oak and rhododendron giving way to high, rocky ridges. Teahouses are simple, friendly, and reliable; the trail is well serviced yet never overwhelming. This is a great choice if you want big mountain feel without a very long time commitment, and it can be combined later with Langtang Valley or Helambu for a longer traverse.
