Lobuche East (6,119 m) is a serious step up from Island or Mera for fit trekkers ready for steeper snow and ice. This 20-day itinerary builds robust acclimatization on the Everest Base Camp trek with a dawn hike to Kala Patthar, then pivots to Lobuche Base Camp (~5,050 m) and High Camp (~5,400–5,600 m) for skills, staging, and a conservative summit window.
Summit day is sustained and technical by trekking-peak standards: rock and snow to crampon point, glacier travel in rope teams, and a steep headwall on fixed lines to reach the airy summit ridge with close-up views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam and the Khumbu giants. We keep low client-to-guide ratios, enforce turnaround times, and include a contingency day for weather. Best seasons are Mar–May and Sep–Nov for stable snow and crisp visibility.
