Pathivara Devi Temple Trek (7 Days) | Taplejung Shakti Peeth 3,794 m

7 Days

Pathivara (Pathibhara) Devi Temple is a revered Shakti Peeth set on a high ridge in
Taplejung (far-eastern Nepal), standing at about 3,794 m. It is sacred to Hindus and
widely respected by Buddhists and the local Limbu community, who also know the hill as Mukkumlung. On clear days, the hilltop offers sweeping Himalayan panoramas, including Kanchenjunga and neighboring giants.

Most pilgrims drive to Kafle Pati above Phungling (Taplejung HQ) and hike 3–4 hours to the shrine; others overnight at Thulo Phedi to shorten the summit day. Limited flights occasionally operate to Suketar (Taplejung) Airport, but overland approaches from Birtamod / Chandragadhi are common. This copy uses the longest, comfortable 7-day pacing to handle travel, altitude, and weather while giving you an unhurried darshan. Best season: (Mar–May) and (Sep–Nov) for steadier weather and views. Roads can be slow or rough in rain or snow, so early starts and buffer time are smart.

  • City hotels + teahouses/lodges (Thulo Phedi / Taplejung)
  • Breakfasts in cities; half/full board on trek days (as booked)
  • From Kafle Pati ~3–4 hrs to the temple; from Thulo Phedi ~1.5–3 hrs (season and pace).
  • Kathmandu
  • 3,794 m
