Pisang Peak Climb (20 Days) | With Annapurna Circuit & Thorong La

20 Days

Pisang Peak (Jong Ri, 6,091 m) rises above the Manang valley on the north side of the Annapurna range. It’s a superb objective for strong trekkers ready to step into real alpine terrain. Our 20-day format builds altitude methodically along the Annapurna Circuit—through Dharapani, Chame and Upper Pisang—before shifting to Base Camp and High Camp for skills and a conservative summit window.

Summit day mixes rock and snow to crampon point, straightforward glacier travel in rope teams, and a short steep snow/ice section on fixed lines to reach the airy ridge. On clear mornings the panorama is immense: Annapurna II, III, IV, Gangapurna, Tilicho, the Chulu range and, far to the east, Manaslu. After the climb, we continue over Thorong La to Muktinath and Jomsom, then fly to Pokhara—a beautiful traverse that avoids backtracking and gives a triumphant finish.
